40k Skirmish Rising (again)

Wasted about 2 hours messing with the blogger's auto-html-formatting. UGH!!!

Anyways, the site is slowly coming back to life. The premise? As before, it will focus on developing and playing a small scale 40k skirmish game; lending itself to imaginative conversions and breath holding photo-stories.

I have finally completed converting the Inquisitor into an awesome bounty hunter!!! He seems to look a lot more like Vampire Hunter D just cause the top hat and cloak...

Very soon, Nikoli will gather a crew of additional support.

Something wicked this way comes...

Since we discovered the D20pro system elements of the "counsel of peers"  has been in deliberation of how to use this technology. After 48 hours, the consensus is 'Illuminatus' will be reborn into a D20 skirmish system. There are two source books that will be utilized in this genesis; they are the D20Modern/Future systems and the Starship Troopers rule books. The extrapolation into the program will be tedious but nothing too difficult. Apparently, the GM account is all that matters as anyone that logs in to the GM IP will immediately download the appropriate files. This will make things very easy. However, when the time comes I will be able to zip the base folder and send to others to host as the GM.

So with out further ado, I give you the future: ILLUMINATUS will be a compilation of various Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader Source books converted into a D20 system and played as a skirmish game via the D20pro program.

For absolute starters, Cody and I will run a few "Cities of the Dead" test campaigns vs Zombies to perfect the system. Stay tuned!

Going to slow down on the posts to the site until I have everything painted, a group of devout followers and house rules established. Until then everything will go into MADWARS & MADWORLDS.

Between my son and I we are pushing hard to work through the conversion process. I've put together an IG mercenary group entitled Reaper Corps... no relation to the miniature company of course. The colors will eventually be green and grey.

40k Skirmish... here we go!

I've done about two weeks worth of research on fan made 40k skirmish systems and between Death Squads, Inquisimunda, INQ28 and a half dozen others I think Inquisimunda takes it. A whole lot of thought and effort were spent grafting and balancing these rules. After play testing a few games with my son we are absolutely hooked. We'll be posting our conversions, paint jobs, terrain builds and battle reports here in the hopes that others will find inspiration and join the cause.
